Thrive Baltimore

An dynamic resource center for education and community events

Thrive Baltimore is a dynamic community resource center located in the Station North community of Baltimore City. Run by a collective of food, environmental and social justice activists, our mission is to provide education, resources and support to anyone interested in adopting a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle.

Part of Thrive Baltimore’s mission is to provide free plant-based cooking demos, nutrition lectures, food tastings, film screenings and other fun, informational programming in an open, socially conscious environment that makes it a space where all are welcome. We’re dedicated to encouraging people to make healthier, kinder choices that will enable them to live more conscious lifestyles.

By offering low-cost delicious vegan food at all our events, we at Thrive Baltimore are doing our part to raise awareness and address the health disparities and food access issues that plague Baltimore City. We’re also providing a practical alternative to the current food systems which cause so much harm to our health, our planet and the animals with whom we share the Earth.

The Greener Kitchen

More than just your average food company,The Greener Kitchen (formerly PEP Foods, Inc.) was conceived as a platform to help expand access to quality vegan foods to people across Baltimore and beyond. Through affordable wholesale distribution of locally produced, vegan staple products to local businesses and institution, innovative and culturally appropriate catering, and an affordable, cooperative kitchen space that local vegan chefs can use to jumpstart their businesses, we aim to create a more just food system that everyone can benefit from.

Wholesale Vegan Distributor

We partner with existing food service companies and government organizations in Baltimore city to help get vegan food in front of as many people as possible. Our long-term goal is to have delicious, vegan foods in every school and in every corner store throughout our city and in others as well.

Catering

Bringing food to people has never been more important. Through food demos and traditional catering we’re working to inspire people to consider plant-based foods in their every day lives.

Plant-based Kitchen Incubator

Baltimore will soon be host to the east coast’s first – and one of the world’s only – fully vegan cooperative kitchens. Created with accessibility and affordability in mind, the Greener Kitchen is a space that local and regional vegan chefs can use to give their businesses a start and receive the support they need to carry it to the next level.
